Launched in 2021, the Auckland College Climbing Series (ACCS) gives Year 9–13 (and eligible Year 7–8) students a chance to climb, compete, and connect—whether they’re brand new or already seasoned competitors.
We’ve grown fast. In 2023, we were finalists for Sports Event of the Year at the Harcourts Cooper & Co Harbour Sport Excellence Awards.
What to Expect
4 rounds across different climbing gyms (boulder and top rope)
Individual and school team scoring
Self-scoring rounds, judged finals
Spot prizes, podiums, and novice awards
Beginner to advanced – no experience needed

You must be entered by your school via the College Sport Portal
Talk to your school sports coordinator
No entries on the day
Entry options (prices will be confirmed before January 2026):
All 4 events: $.. (non-refundable, only available before Round 1)
Single event: $.. (opens ~6 weeks before each event)
Entry includes harness & shoe hire if needed.
Registrations for individual events close 10 days before the event (15 days for the 1st event).
