Why Join?
As an ASC member you'll enjoy:
Eligibility for Climbing New Zealand (CNZ) teams. Membership of a CNZ affiliated club is required to be eligible for selection to Climbing New Zealand representative teams. Selected athletes may have the opportunity to represent New Zealand at international competitions.
Discounted CNZ competition entry. CNZ generally offers reduced entry fees to athletes affiliated with recognised clubs such as ASC.
Competition uniform on loan. Members will receive an ASC competition uniform on loan to wear at CNZ competitions.
Coaching discounts. Members receive discounts on coaching programmes organised by ASC.
A great climbing community. Join a supportive network of athletes, parents, coaches and volunteers who are passionate about climbing.
Our members range from first time competitors to elite athletes. Everyone is welcome.
Membership Fees (September 2026 to August 2027)
Annual membership:
Athlete (or athlete representative): $40
Non athlete: $10
ASC membership fees are set on a cost recovery basis to cover our Climbing New Zealand affiliation fees.
Please note that ASC membership is separate from CNZ competition entry fees. Competition entry fees are paid directly to CNZ.
Athletes entering CNZ competitions will also be charged a CNZ non voting membership fee, which replaces the previous domestic licence fee.
Club Uniforms
Members will receive an ASC competition uniform on loan for CNZ competitions.
Uniforms are available in a range of sizes:
Singlets: Kids 10 to Adult 2XL
T shirts: Kids 6 to Adult 2XL
You can request your preferred size when you become a member.
