Why Join?
Becoming a member connects you to the official climbing pathway in New Zealand. You’ll be eligible for:
Climbing New Zealand (CNZ) squad selection
Representation at national and international competitions
Wearing the Auckland club colours at events
Support from a passionate community of climbers, coaches, and volunteers
Our members range from total beginners to elite athletes. Everyone’s welcome.
Membership Fees (Sept 2025 – Aug 2026)
Annual Fee: $30
This covers:
$20 CNZ license per climber
Contribution toward the club’s $500 annual CNZ affiliation fee
This is separate from CNZ competition entry fees. CNZ charges lower rates for club members.
Important note:
ASC membership fees are set on a straight cost recovery basis against what CNZ charge us for affiliation. Given the lack of clarity from CNZ over their fees for the 2025/2026 competition season we are currently setting our fee at the same amount as last year but with the possibility that we may revise this and ask for a top up (or offer a reimbursement) once these are known.
Club Uniforms
Heading to CNZ events? You’ll need to wear your club colours.
We offer free loan uniforms in a range of sizes:
Singlets: Kids 10 – Adults 2XL
T-shirts: Kids 6 – Adults 2XL

What is CNZ?
Climbing New Zealand is the national body for competition climbing.
They run the national comp season (Sept–Aug), coordinate athlete development, and work with international climbing federations.
